I was supposed to write this yesterday but got very sidetracked...

Yesterday, Hubs' mom made biscuits and gravy! Since I tried hers first, anything else can't compare. Especially if it's not homemade. I can do a nice light version but hers is the dictionary explanation of comfort food.

It was a mostly casual day until his mum found out about a local Chinese restaurant got new management and all new menu! So we went and tried it.

It was...okay. It claims to be NY style and it was close but not exact to what I'm used to. The prices were not too bad. It was also super crowded and it was nearly an hour before we got our food...and we got it to go! But I'm hoping that means it will do well considering we really only have the one restaurant that's not fast food.

Now if only we could get a legit bubble tea place here...
