仕事がどうなるか分からないので、最近は暇つぶしにアニメをたくさん見ています。

I don’t know what will happen with my job. So I have been watching a lot of anime lately to keep my mind occupied.

Crunchyroll を購読しているおかげで、今まで見ることができなかったシリーズをたくさん見ることができます。昔は Animerica というアニメ雑誌を読んでいました。今はもう発行されていませんが、たくさんのシリーズに関する情報がたくさん載っていました。

Thanks to my subscription to Crunchyroll, I have been able to watch a lot of series that I never got to watch. Back when it was a thing, I used to read an anime magazine called Animerica. They’re no longer in publication but they had a lot of information on a ton of series.

だから今は、読んだことを覚えているものを見るようにしています。

So now I try to watch what I remember reading about.

中には、私には絶対に合わない作品もあります。当時はすごく人気だった作品もありますが。Excel Saga を好きになろうとしましたが、ユーモアが私にはあまりにもクレイジーでした。まだ Death Note を最後まで見ようとしています。少しずつしか扱えません。

Some of them are definitely not for me. Even though some of them were super popular back in the day. I tried to like Excel Saga but the humor was just too crazy for me. I’m still trying to get through Death Note. I can only handle a little at a time.

でも、今のところ本当に興味を引いているシリーズは、ウテナとトライガンスタンピードです。

But so far series that really kept my attention are Utena and Trigun Stampede.

ずっと前に映画を見て、マンガもいくつか読んだので、ウテナにもっと興味を持ちたいと思っていました。舞台も含めて、すべてのストーリーを今見つけられるといいのですが。

I have always wanted to get more into Utena because I saw the movie a long time ago and read some of the manga. I hope I can find all of the stories now including the plays.

スタンピードはオリジナルとは全く違っていて、素晴らしいと思いました。地球について、そしてさまざまな人々の反応について考えさせられる素晴らしいシリーズです。オープニングテーマも本当に好きです。

Stampede is so different from the original and I thought it was great. It’s a great series to make you think about the planet and how different people react. I really like the opening theme too.

さて、今のところはこれで終わりです。もっと良いことについて書きたいのですが、自分のコントロールできないことが起こり続けています。
