(♪)//143 We Tried a Tokyo Treat Box⌒☆+゚

I haven't done sub boxes in a while!

In the past I've gotten all kinds of these boxes - from snacks to crafts to even ones for pets. Tokyo Treat is not a new one to me but I know Hubs doesn't really get these. So I asked him if he would like to try one and we ended up getting the March 2022: Konbini Snack Surprise box.

Note - this post is not sponsored in any way but I wanted to share our experience with it. So you'll get a view from a newbie and a vet Ww

It was a pretty diverse box with a good mix of sweet and savory items. We even got a drink!

We're actually pretty lucky because even if I end up not liking something or can't have it due to allergies, I know Hubs will either eat it or at least try it. And that's another thing that I would like to point out.

THANKFULLY Tokyo Treat took the time to put as much info as possible in the booklet that comes with the box. I don't normally like to spoil the surprise of what the item is but Japan uses a lot of fish and peanut ingredients and I have to be really careful about that.So it's nice and clear in the book of what allergens are in each item.

You also get some neat facts that you may not know! Like this one about the special Fanta that was included in this month's box.

Now let me tell you what we thought in order from least to most!

We hated these. I was super excited about these mini melon pan and they are one of the featured items but they downright disappointed me. I know they're not fresh like from a bakery but it did not taste right to me. And the Saqutte just tasted like it had too much salt or something...

Next we have ones that we were "eh" about.

The sour candy apple tape and the cotton candy. I guess Hubs and I are just so used to the super sour candies we had as kids that this was nothing. And the cotton candy was nice and soft but didn't have much flavor.

Now finally onto the winners! Which was basically everything else Ww

Both Kit Kats ended up being the best! Especially the Banan-choco one. I've had the Banan-choco Pocky and it was so artificial. And the melon Kit Kat was a thousand times better than the melon pan.

That's why I wait a bit to see what they reveal and determine if it's worth getting the box or not. This one was actually great even with the disappointing melon pan cookies...thankfully! XD
