☆65 More Japanese Learning!☆

こんにちは!

Remember last time when I talked about me learning Japanese?

It's been a while since I did any kind of update. I'm finding out the hard way that I definitely need a teacher to keep me on track. It's just ridic that every time I get a little further, I get distracted.

I can definitely recognize the entire Hiragana chart. I'm doing my best to upkeep with writing them too. Katakana is a little more difficult for me to recognize. But I am finding more and more apps to help me.

So far the ones that really are working are Lingo Deer and this "new" one that I found.

This one is called "Learn Japanese!!!". It also has a writing one "Learn Japanese!!". I don't know what the names are supposed to do other than yell XD

Also many thanks to a friend who showed me this one for testing what I just learned!

I still also use the books I showed in my original post. Really hoping that all of this will stick. My memory is not always the greatest. Worst student ever.

But I'm also making my blog read more like a j-blog for when I'm ready. Maybe as I learn new words, I can sprinkle them in here. And eventually I will be able to write a whole post?!

Since starting over with the writing, I'm more or less okay with:

あいうえお
かきくけこ
がぎぐげご
さしすせそ
ざじずぜぞ

Today I'm going to learn everything in the T/D range. Like I said, I can recognize them but it takes me a minute on how to make them. If anyone has any tips or helpful ways to study better, please let me know! I will love you forever!

頑張って‼︎ I need to relearn Japanese since I forced myself to learn it in highschool but sadly haven’t been keeping up with it T__T

I can read Hiragana/Katakana since I am 12 years old...after that whenever I tried sticking to learning japanese I hilariously failed lol. 9 years later reading kana is all I can do (and not even that fast T.T)

Ahhh but that's awesome that you learned that early! I am trying to actively recognize them in the gal magazines I have. It's tough lol

Self-study is definitely very difficult. I have no idea how to go about it either :/

However, I WAS able to learn hiragana and katakana quickly just through memorization and writing. Then just sounding it out when seeing any Japanese text in regular life or online (often when looking at Pokemon goods, in my case!) can help them stick. Now I am not writing at all, but I can type in hiragana and katakana on my phone and Switch at least so I still remember the characters.

Have you tried searching for YouTube Japanese lessons? That might be helpful as you can pause or slow down the video, and also can learn at your own pace. Plus you've got books already, so you can look up anything you are having confusion with as well!

Wishing you the best of luck :3

Aaah good luck in your Japanese learning! I am the same with Chinese... I only use duolingo now to learn it because I find it hard to find the time for it without me getting distracted by something out ;-; I'll see if they have a Chinese one for Lingodeer! <3

Yaay, that's actually a nice progress! Reminds me of the fact that I should work on my writing as well, haha 💐
