✩27 Gal Eye Shapes✩

Today I thought we could talk about eye shapes.

Makeup, especially eye makeup, is super important to Gyaru. How you do your eyes basically completes the style you're trying to accomplish. You can generally tell what substyle it is by the clothing but it's the eyes that make it.

I mostly dress old school so these are the styles I will talk about. Let's look at some of the popular styles and list the key points that make the looks complete.

Agejo

Notes: Top and bottom lashes with thick eyeliner; Under eye highlight; Dolly-style circle lens

Amekaji

Notes: Top and bottom lashes; Eyeliner on top, shadow on bottom; Circle lens optional; Colorful; Casual

Ganguro

Notes: Both old school and new - Black ink used as eyeliner and white concealer as eyeshadow.
Old school - Optional lashes; Gems and stickers deco; Optional eye droop.
Newer - Top and bottom lashes; Super exaggerated eye droop.

Hime

Notes: Top and bottom lashes; Thick eyeliner on top with option to go lighter on bottom; Dolly-style circle lens; Sweet

Himekaji

Notes: Similar to Hime only more casual and sweeter; More natural with less eyeliner and more soft shadows

Kogal

Notes: Originally a more toned-down Ganguro (most likely whatever Gals could get away with in school until the end of the day); Later became typical Gal makeup used in most styles like Gyaru-kei; Lashes optional; Circle lens; Thick eyeliner

Manba

Notes: Next level of Ganguro; Thicker white makeup; Bright, colorful eyeshadow; Light to extreme panda makeup; Deco around the eyes

Onee

Notes: Top and optional bottom lashes; Top eyeliner and subtle bottom; Natural/neutral eyeshadows; Circle lens; Follows eye shape closely; Classy, older sister

Oraora

Notes: Top and bottom lashes with thick eyeliner; Lots of black and brown; Circle lens; Uses sharp wing

Rokku/Goshikku

Notes: Top and bottom lashes with thick eyeliner; Sometimes bright, colorful eyeshadows or a smokey eye look; Circle lens

Tsuyome

Notes: Next level of Ganguro; Top and bottom lashes with thick eyeliner; Circle lens optional; Under eye highlight

Yamanba

Notes: Next level of Ganguro; Pastel makeup; Tiny deco around the eyes; Bright colored circle lenses

I think the photos I chose for each did a great job of representing each one and how they do their makeup. Maybe in the future I can look for actual tutorials for some of these.

What did you think? Did you enjoy this post? Let me know in the comments!

✩26 Lashes Haul✩

This...
This shopping order started off as such a terrible nightmare.

I had no idea lashes were so hard to find. Especially Twinkle Lash. I was in desperate need of bottom lashes being down to my last pair. And they're not even that great. I had to do surgery on like three different pairs to even get something decent. So when I got paid, I knew it was time to contact my favorite SS - Tenshi Shop.

I found a list of all the ones I wanted and requested on their site. Little did I know that even after sending so many links, a lot of them were with dead accounts. Tenshi let me know right away and thankfully I was able to work with them to getting new links. Of course, some still didn't work out because they seem to be rare again. But I did manage to still get a lot.

A bunch of emails went back and forth, trying to see if I could finally get the lashes I wanted. And finally, I got most of what was on my list. Tenshi is so patient and amazing. I'm so grateful for this shopping service.

After everything was said and done (finally), my package was mailed out and arrived pretty quickly. And when I tell you, I felt like I was in gal heaven...it truly was when I opened that box.

Just look at all these gorgeous lashes.

I never used Eyemazing or Twinkle Lash before so it was very exciting to see how they would look. I can now see why so many gals live by these brands. Especially if you're into Amekaji or any oldschool styles.

They're perfect.

Thanks to Tenshi Shop, I was able to get these:

Twinkle Lash

Eyemazing

Diamond Lash

I didn't buy as many of this brand because for some reason a lot of sellers are trying to double the price. The brand still exists so I have no idea why they're doing this. So I only bought these. I do eventually need to buy more of Princess Eye but the prices were just ridic. It's my favorite style of bottom lashes! So hopefully one day~

I'd like to give a HUGE shoutout to Tenshi Shop for working with me on this order. If it weren't for them, I would have cried. So many thanks for them being so patient and helping me get what I needed!

DEFINITELY USE THEM. THEY'RE AMAZING.

That's all for now! Hope you liked my haul!

I'd like to share with you some of my favorite spreads.

This issue looked phenomenal! I'm even more happy to see more faces. Everyone is so talented.

Can we also talk about Shani's amazing back cover art?

I got to do a couple of spreads as well.

Star's deco sticker skills are always top tier. I really fell in love with the bats!

I'm so happy with how everything came out. It made me laugh how opposite my spreads were. But I'm super proud of them! And as always, I'm so grateful for the amazing gals I get to work with.
LOVE YOU ALL.
